Economic and Social History

Gábor Koloh's research focuses on the economic and social transformation of Central Europe in the 18th and 20th centuries, especially in Hungary. His first book examines how birth control developed and spread in South Transdanubia in the 18th century. His research focuses on spatial and social mobility, the intersection of knowledge transfer and ethnic/confessional communities, peasant and elite groups, and the intersection of global and local processes.
