Analysis of dialogues in Greek tragedy from a discourse approach, focussing especially on the interplay between verbal and non-verbal means of communication, gestures and speech acts.
The aim of the research project is a new critical edition of the first complete translation of Aristophanes into Hungarian made by János Arany, accompanied by a commentary with a special emphasis on the various and unique translational techniques adopted by the translator.
