My research focuses on language activity in the field of education. Education supposes an interacting (sub) community, in which the language and communication skills make it possible to the participants to understand different situations and the perspectives of others, to collide the perspectives of the participants, and its solution and compromise. In the course of my research I examine the language activity in the native and foreign language education in a cognitive linguistic framework, the main research aspects include the process of  examination. In addition, I focus on the teaching and learning processes of German as a foreign language, such as the possibilities of autonomous language learning, text-oriented work, vocabulary development, and the development of scientific language use.

The study of the two complementary research areas aims to contribute to the development of a teaching and learning culture in which language activity is shaped by the (self) reflexive, conscious, autonomous (text-making and receiving) behavior of the participants.
