My research focuses on Indian mythology (especially on Kṛṣṇa-cycle) and Sanskrit epics. Basically, I try to understand the formation of the Indian mythology on the basis of recurring motifs in different traditions. In my work, I am primarily concerned with mythical genealogies, geographies and the historical reception of myths.
