Main research areas
As a member of the teaching staff of the Atelier Department for Interdisciplinary History, I hold seminars on historiography for PhD students with a focus on the methods of cultural history. My academic interest includes Renaissance and Baroque cultural history.
Since the preparation of my PhD dissertation on the court of Sigismund Báthory in 1997, the late Renaissance courtly culture of Transylvania and its European context appear a principal focus in my research on early modern cultural history.
I participated in the establishment of the Cultural heritage studies masters' programme at the Atelier Department for Interdisciplinary History. My research directions coincide with the topics of my courses held on the history of Hungarian heritage conservation institutions, cultural heritage in contemporary Europe, as well as the concept of intangible heritage.
