An inescapable phenomenon in the field of modern and contemporary art history and art theory is the question of institutional critique, which strongly inspired the curatorial practices that emerged at the end of the twentieth century with the "curatorial turn".

In discussing art research, it is necessary to clarify the relationship between art and science, even if art research as an interdisciplinary practice seeks to transcend the dichotomy of these two fields. Artistic research is therefore a process through artistic practice, where artistic practice is the means but generates knowledge. And the transmission and sharing of this knowledge is a matter of curatorial practice itself.
