Medieval French and Occitan Literature

I am dealing with medieval literary history, especially with the history of lyrical forms. As a romanist, I am specialised in Old and Middle French, Occitan, Spanish and Galego-Portuguese poetry.

Digital humanities

Computer-based statistical analysis of poetical texts

I am studying medieval and early modern poetry, focusing on computer-assisted poetical and metrical analysis of the texts. The generative and historical poetics are equally important in my research. French, Occitan, Galego-Portuguese and especially Hungarian poetry serve the poetical corpora that I am studying. In my current investigation the methods of stylometrical analysis are used in sake of authorial attributions.

Imagology

I am dealing with the ethnic and national stereotypes, with the representation of different countries and nations in medieval literature. I was focusing in the last years on the image of East-Central European countries in medieval French literature and historiography. I am studying these texts also with a geocritical approach.
