My research interests focus on two principal areas: Roman literature, especially Augustan and imperial, as well as neo-latin literature, the neo-latin reception of classical literature, bucolic poetry from Theocritus into the early modern period,  the reception of Roman elegy, satire and epic poetry, the neo-latin poetry of Quattrocento Italy and humanism in Hungary.
