My research areas belong to the functional cognitive theoretical framework, including functional social pragmatics and functional grammar on one hand. On the other hand it belongs to the topic of orthography within applied linguistics. My narrower research areas within the functional framework are: the system of Hungarian pronouns; deixis and co-reference; spatial designation; epistemic grounding; referentiality; within the metapragmatic awareness and metapragmatic markers in narratives: the sentence construction of medial verbs and the competing patterns among the Hungarian stem types. Inside the applied linguistics, I mainly deal with the systematic nature of Hungarian orthography, as well as with the orthographical aspects of medical and physical jargon.
