Among social history topics, I am most interested in the formation and functioning of modern class society. The process by which new social groups appeared, old ones transformed, the elements determining social position changed, and the possibilities of social mobility reframed.

In my research, I analyze the history of capitalism during the 19th and 20th centuries from the perspective of business actors (from family firms to joint-stock companies).
