Geonomastics

My main research field is the typological and geolinguistic analysis of historical personal name system. I am conducting ethnic reconstruction investigations based on historical personal name databases created within the framework of the Atlas of Historical Surnames in Hungary research programme. The other research topic is related to changes in the phoneme system of Hungarian dialects.
