History of the Middle Ages
There are two subject close to me. One is the economic history of the medieval Kingdom of Hungary. Within economic history, I dealt with the history of mining, especially salt mining. The mining and trade of salt was a royal monopoly, so research is limited not only to the technical issues of mining, but also to the functioning of the state salt trade. I cannot stop dealing with the prosopography of the professionals who run the royal salt monopoly. I am also interested in the issues of noble metal mining. I was primarily concerned with mining at Nagybánya (Baia Mare).

Another area of research is university history. I am currently part of a research team that prepares a database of students studying abroad and at Hungary.
