Gábor Kósa's main research interests include Chinese mythology (especially cosmogonic myths), ancient Chinese wuism (i.e. shamanistic practices), and Chinese Manichaeism. Regarding the third research topic, he is particularly interested in the complex relationship between the textual and visual remains of Manichaeism.
