Examining the relationship between working memory and inferential reading comprehension using an eye-tracker

My research focuses on the relationship between working memory and reading comprehension. Through the use of an eye-tracker, I examine how individual differences in working memory capacity influence inferential reading comprehension. The aim of my study is to identify correlations among eye-movement patterns, reading comprehension performance, and working memory measures, as well as to uncover the underlying cognitive processes that support successful text processing.

The findings are expected to contribute to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms underlying information integration and inference-making during reading, thereby providing insights relevant to both cognitive psychology and applied linguistics.
