Comparative syntax

My main research area is Finno-Ugric comparative linguistics with a special focus on syntactic features of Ugric and Permic languages. My research interest covers the usage of impersonal, passive, and causative constructions and the encoding of possession from a functional typological perspective. Additionally, I work on a typological description of Hungarian, Komi-Permyak, and Khanty, as well as on some morphosyntactic properties caused by contact phenomena between Finno-Ugric and Turkic languages.
