My specialist field is onomastics, especially anthroponymy, name theory, applied onomastics, and literary onomastics. I mainly build on my personal name database, collected from 13th and 14th-century documents, in the historical study of the Hungarian name stock (given and family names). Within applied onomastics, my particular interest lies in the theoretical and practical questions on the translation of proper names.
