media and migration history

My research areas include the history of the press and migration, as well as translation politics in the 20th century. The aim of my investigations is on the one hand to adapt the instruments of migration historiography intended for larger scales to the Central European region, on the other hand to investigate new genres and structural changes in the press. The German-Austrian-Hungarian comparative analyzes also concern the subject areas of urbanization, mass culture and the communication of literature, as well as the party-political contexts of cultural transfer.
