Main research areas
Diplomatic, political and social history of the United States of America and the United Kingdom in the 19th and 20th centuries
My research focuses on the political and social history of the United Kingdom in the 19th century, with a particular emphasis on the problems: the negative consequences of the industrial revolution, the extent of poverty, the contrast between social classes, crime, the birth of the police, child labour, religious problems, etc. My other main research area focuses on the history of Britain in the 20th century: the domestic and foreign policy situation after 1945, British propaganda policy during the Cold War and British-Hungarian relations. I have also recently extended my research to the US, with a particular interest in the political and social history of the US and the relationship between the US and the UK.
