Artificial intelligence in libraries

My research focuses on applying artificial intelligence, robotics, and other emerging technologies in library services. The primary aim of my work is to explore how these innovations can enhance user experience, increase user satisfaction, and strengthen the societal role of libraries in the digital age.

A key area of investigation is how librarians can apply such technologies ethically and responsibly, while serving as reliable providers of credible and trustworthy information. In this context, I examine the competencies required of library professionals to integrate AI and related technologies into their work effectively. This includes identifying the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes and developing training and professional development strategies. By addressing these issues, my research seeks to contribute to the evolution of libraries into technologically supported, human-centered institutions and to support the formation of a future-ready librarian workforce.
