Phonetics, phonology
My recent studies pertain to coarticulation phenomena of Hungarian language. The analyzes apply the methods of articulatory laboratory phonology, their main topics are vowel harmony, voicing and voicing assimilation, and the effect of prosody on the (co)articulatory realization of the segments. Previously, I analysed the prosodic characteristics of Hungarian spontaneous speech, with special regard to intonation, voice quality, and the timing of speech. I have been participating in the elaboration of cognitive functional description of Hungarian grammar, with respect to the phonetic-phonological aspect.
