comparativ literature studies

In my research I deal with the comparative study of the concepts of space and thus cultural transfer phenomena in Hungarian, Romanian and German literary history and prose literature in the 20th and 21st centuries. The comparative analysis includes works of fiction and theory in Hungarian, Romanian and German. My research concerns competing forms, procedures and practices in literary history writing and prose works, especially those related to the construction of regions/regionalities. I also explore cultural transfer phenomena such as travel, migration, return, imprisonment, multilingualism, translation, etc. The research methodology is essentially based on comparison and the theoretical background of postcolonialism and transculturalism.

comics studies

The focus of my research is on the development of the Hungarian comic, its poetic and surface history from the 19th century to the contemporary trends of the 21st century. I will focus on the study of the beginnings of Hungarian comics in relation to caricatures, illustrated stories, the relationship between literature and comics, and the possibilities of transmedia narratives.
