My research so far has primarily dealt with medieval Hungarian church history, its institutional and archontological aspects, and the historiographical background. Within the medieval Hungarian church institutional system, I paid special attention to the Szepesség (Spiš - region in Slovakia), which had a special position in many respects. I also examined the features of the parish network and church government that had similar features to Szepesség for example in South Transylvania, and in the Liptó (Liptov - nowaday Slovakia) region neighboring Szepes county.
