Hungarian Literature 20th century

My research primarily focuses on the prose works of literary modernist authors, with Gyula Krúdy's oeuvre at the center of my interest. Additionally, I explore the works of writers on the periphery of the Hungarian canon, such as the nearly forgotten Erzsébet Kádár. For the second half of the 20th century, my research focuses on the novels of Miklós Mészöly.

Narratology

The focus of my narratological research is on the applicability of both domestic and international, particularly English and German, narratological studies to 20th and 21st-century Hungarian prose works. My research also compares the findings and conceptual interpretations of narratological studies. I primarily rely on the works of Gérard Genette, Dorrit Cohn, Mieke Bal, and Wolf Schmid.
