The laryngeal phonology of Italian

The aim of the research is a complete reanalysis of the consonantal system of Italian, on the basis of laryngeal features, from a Laboratory Phonology approach. My purpose is to carry out a comprehensive acoustic description of all consonants based on sound recordings with native Italian speakers, and to analyse their phonological behaviour in different frameworks like Laryngeal Realism and Relativism, Element Theory and Optimality Theory.
