Research on translation phenomena in musical genres. My main topic is the research of translation phenomena in Hungarian adaptations of 17th (Henry Purcell) and 20th century (Benjamin Britten) English choral works. My planned dissertation is entitled: The relationship between singability and translations in English-language choral works. The choruses, which are perhaps less widely known in our country, could arouse more interest among young people than they have so far. The translation texts are of great importance, since they must not only adequately translate what is written in the source language into our current cultural milieu, but also serve the professional aspects of singability.For me, the inter- and trans-disciplinary nature of this research is both a challenge and a joy.The general aim of the research is to explore the specific musical and linguistic phenomena of the complex field of translation, including the singing-centred and text-fidelity-centred approaches, and to unify the two approaches as far as possible. It will be useful to compare existing translations and match them according to the above aspects.

The aim of the research is to shed light on the impact of interdisciplinary art education on the development of the whole person from as many angles as possible. Since a complex programme of arts education and creativity development can only be achieved through the integrated work of several pedagogical workshops, the work is based on a collaboration with the Psalmus Humanus Art Education Association and an independent talent development project of the Institute for Art Education and Music.
