Shakespeare and Renaissance Drama

The research focuses on the fundamental transformations and complex phenomena in Shakespearean tragedy. It explores generic innovations in drama, changes of world-view and notions about heroism and selfhood.

Absurd drama

The aim of the research is to introduce the basic innovations of The Theatre of the Absurd. It approaches the fundamental transformations and complex phenomena in the theatre of the period. It also explores generic innovations in drama and changes of world-view. Along with analysing and discussing the selected works of these diverse representatives of the absurd, it also seeks to assist students and theatre-goers in mastering difficult texts on their own.

Philosophy and literature

The research examines the fruitful relationship between philosophy and literature (mainly English drama).
