Main research areas
I mainly research transmedial manifestations of dramatic texts, theatre/performance adaptations, dramas rewritten, recomposed, and other textual transformations. I mainly focus on adaptations that use Shakespeare's and other early modern playwrights'texts as their declared and marked origins. I inevitably have to focus on plays which have been part of the international and national ("mainstream") canon, and thus I can look into how this theoretical field can be of practical use in university education and teching literature in general. I've found that prequel and sequel adaptations are an especially prolific field of studies, both in teaching and researching Shakespeare.
Early Modern English literature, especially tragedy (Shakespeare and his contemporaries) and poetry (especially love poetry and the study of the sonnet cycles) are at the centre of my teaching and research. In the analysis of literary works (closely related to adaptation theory), I am interested in writing technique, imitation, translation and rewriting in the period.
The scientific research field of a course design expert focuses on the effective structuring of educational content and the optimization of learning processes.
It examines how learner motivation, engagement, and skill development can be supported through various pedagogical and digital tools.
It analyzes the impact of curricula, learning pathways, and interactive materials on knowledge retention and performance.
A key emphasis is placed on learning experience, methodological innovation, and assessment and evaluation techniques.
