Focal point of my sociolinguistics researches is the interaction of language, culture and identity.

Hertiage language and identity, bi- and multilingual Hungarians' language use dependent identity factors are also the subjects of my studies. The aims of this last research are to study the language use, identity, and family-internal socialisation of Hungarian–French bilingual speakers' second generation living in France, to explore interference phenomena and code switches observable in their speech, and to discuss general issues of language loss and language shift. The role of the language repertoire of this second generation' s socialisation is also on the focus of my research.

Socio-onomastic researches were made about multilingual names and identity and also about motivations and tendencies of choices of the married name in Hungary.

My methodological studies have their focus on the concentrated competence development of listening comprehension skills and cultural mediation in Hungarian as a foreign language.
