Late Bronze Age - Iron Age Archaeology

This topic is subdivised in 2 themes: the investigation of prehistoric earthworks and the topography of Iron Age cemeteries

geoarchaeology

The mineral raw materials are important special resources for the prehistoric communityes. I have studied for a long time especially the different metal raw materials. However, more and more investigations show that the different stones/rocks and their usage have also important role in the late prehistoric economy.

archaeological topography

Expanding the methodological possibilities is very important in archaeological topography. As a practising aerial archaeologist, with long experience in field archaeology (eg. geophysics, surface sampling, boring, etc) I try to combine/develope the different methods to understand their advantages and disatvantages in the reconstruction of the history of the landscape.
