My research focuses mainly on French Baroque and Classical poetry and drama: the poetic theory and the poetic school of Francois de Malherbe, with particular attention to courtly and occasional poetry. In this context, I am particularly interested in the phenomenon of the collected volumes that flourished in the first half of the 17th century. In the field of drama, I am interested in classical dramaturgy, the influence of antiquity on the literature of the Classical period, and the relationship between Moliere and the commedia dell'arte.
